Director of Studies
My journey into teaching began with my own experience of Mathematics. After two unsuccessful attempts, I persevered and eventually achieved a distinction. That experience changed something for me: having discovered that a subject I had struggled with could be understood and mastered, I developed a desire to help others experience that same breakthrough.
I began teaching privately in 1990 and later established a tuition centre in Nigeria, teaching Mathematics while bringing in other tutors to support students across different subjects. Although moving to the United Kingdom brought that chapter to a close, teaching never really left me. Students continued to come to me for help, and I continued to teach.
That journey eventually became Ripples Tutorials—built on a belief that with clear teaching, purposeful practice and the right support, learners can make progress beyond what they may initially believe is possible.

Whether you're looking for structured tuition or prefer to learn independently, Ripples gives you a clear route to begin.

There was a time when Mathematics was a subject I struggled to understand. After two unsuccessful attempts, it would have been easy to believe that perhaps Mathematics simply wasn't for me.
But I refused to give up. I tried again — and eventually achieved a distinction.
That experience taught me something I have carried throughout my years of teaching: defeat does not mean denial. A setback is not necessarily the end of the story. You get up, try again and keep going until you achieve your breakthrough.
Sometimes success may be waiting at the door, but you still have to stand up and walk towards that door. It may not be easy. It may require perseverance, purposeful practice and the right support — but you can do it.
At Ripples Tutorials, we want you to recognise that where you are today does not determine where you can be tomorrow.
Don't give up. Your breakthrough may be closer than you think.
We believe that learning is not simply about being given information. Real progress happens when learners are helped to understand, practise, apply, assess and improve what they are learning.
A learner may not understand something the first time. They may make mistakes. They may need a different explanation, more practice or additional support. That does not mean they cannot succeed.
At Ripples, we believe learning should be clear, purposeful and progressive. Each step should build understanding, strengthen confidence and prepare the learner for what comes next.
That belief shapes everything we do — from the way we teach to the way we structure our learning resources.
Not every learner needs the same kind of support.
Some learn confidently on their own. Some benefit from learning alongside others.
Others need focused, individual guidance.
Gives learners the structure and resources to work independently at their own pace.
Brings learners together for structured, tutor-led preparation and shared learning.
Provides focused individual support for specific subjects and examination goals.
Ripples is more than programmes and learning resources. Behind every learning route are people committed to helping learners understand, practise, progress and prepare for what comes next.

Learning should be explained in a way that helps learners genuinely understand.
Teaching, practice and resources should have a clear reason and direction.
Learners should be able to build from where they are towards where they need to be.
Learners should have access to the right kind of support for the way they learn.
Clear learning. Purposeful practice. Meaningful progress.
That is what matters to us.
